HOW I SLASHED STRESS, BOOSTED MY ENERGY, & HEALED MY THYROID

I'd like to share with you products that changed my life.  The primary active ingredient in them is an adaptogenic herb called ASHWAGANDHA.  It's an herb from India which has been used for 8,000 years for treating many different health issues from reducing stress to boosting energy and mood.

The literature which I've read describe Ashwagandha as a potent herbal anti-depressant and a mild to moderate anti-anxiety agent.  It further reports it supporting optimal energy levels.

I use either Organic India's Organic Ashwagandha or Garden Of Life, mykind organics Ashwagandha, whichever one is on sale or has a discount coupon.  I have found both to provide effective anti-depressant action for me as well as increased energy.  I like the digestion enhancing fermented ginger and probiotics in the Garden of Life product; 600 mg Ashwagandha root extract, 50 mg fermented ginger, and 4 mg probiotic blend: Bifidobacterium lactis BI-04 and Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14/1 tablet.

I also drink Yogi Tea's Positive Energy "Tangerine flavor" tea.  It has Ashwagandha and Tulsi along with black tea and green tea extract.  Tulsi is often called Holy Basil in the U.S.A. when offered as a supplement; it has been used for thousands of years as an anti-anxiety agent.  The combination boosts my energy and reduces stress.  1 tea bag makes 20 oz of tea.  I feel that it is important to allow the tea to steep until luke warm in order for the healing properties of the herbs to enter the tea water.  It tastes like citrus to me, though it does not taste like "tangerine."  I get it in Bellingham, Washington at WINCO or Whole Foods. If you try this tea and enjoy it as much as I do, contact me and we can discuss forming a buyer's club so we can buy it at case price discounts!

CAUTION: Those taking lithium carbonate as a medication should not consume this tea as it contains ginseng which can trigger a potentially fatal manic episode for those with lithium onboard.

Yogi Tea offers a similar tea without the ginseng with vanilla flavor called PERFECT ENERGY.  Alas, Perfect Energy does not contain Tulsi.  I invite and encourage readers to contact Yogi Tea and request they add Tulsi to their Perfect Energy Tea.  They also offer their Sweet Clementine Stress Support herbal tea which has a mild citrus taste and contains Ashwaganha Root and Ginger root which helps ease digestion and pain as well as the powerful antixidants Rooibos and Clove Bud.  Rooibos is noted as having the side effect of helping maintain a healthy weight; the African tribe which has used it for centuries has virtually no obesity...🙂🙂

Until I began regular use of Ashwagandha I had been on Armor Thyroid for 20+ years for Hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone).  During my regular use of Ashwagandha my thyroid function normalized and I no longer need thyroid medication!  While it is true that glandular function can and will spontaneously normalize on their own at times, I firmly believe that it was the Ashwagandha, Tulsi, black tea, and green tea extract that healed my thyroid gland.

I enjoy making Namaste gluten free cookies for my nephews, nieces, other family, and friends.  I use duck eggs as they make gluten free recipes rise more like wheat based  flour baked goods and because I'm allergic to chicken!  I use stevia, xylitol, and monk fruit no/low glycemic index sweeteners and soy free, top 8 allergen free chocolate chips, organic raisins, organic-gluten free oatmeal, and goat butter as I'm allergic to bovine dairy.  I have to have butter in order to get the cookies to turn out nice and crispy, because soft, chewy cookies are just WRONG!  🙂🙂

Be Well,

Jerry
